8th GRADE STUDENTS - WANT TO DESIGN THE MACKINAC ISLAND TRIP SHIRT?
Please see Mrs. Iwema for design instructions during your ELO time.

7th & 8th BOYS V. GIRLS and STAFF VOLLEYBALL GAME
There is a sign-up sheet in the office for the 7th and 8th grade boys v. girls and staff volleyball game. The game is on May 12 but you must be signed up before May 3. Staff v. 8th grade will be held during 7th hour.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
Students should not wear tank tops or spaghetti straps. Please check the student handbook for other dress code guidelines.

AFTER SCHOOL
When the end of the day bell rings, if you are not staying after school for a specific reason, please do not loiter or hang around the school. There is not adequate supervision for students to stay.

ATHLETIC PHYSICALS
Are FREE this year. Please pick up the form in the office and get it filled out BEFORE the physical date. Dates are as follows:
April 26 - females
April 27 - males
Physicals are done during the school day. The providers begin at the high school in the morning and then go to the middle school after finishing at the high school.

PERFECT ATTENDANCE FOR M-STEP
From April 11 - May 18, there is a perfect attendance drawing for M-Step attendance. If you have perfect attendance during that time you will have your name in the drawing. Prizes include butterfly chairs, basketball hoops, and basketballs.

GRADES 6,7,8
The Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve Applications are due to Mrs. Iwema by Friday, April 28. If you need an application, please see Mrs. Iwema, Mr. Busch, or Ms. Bush.

JOIN RUNNING CLUB
It is time for Newaygo Middle School's spring Running Club. Practice will begin Tuesday, April 18. All middle school students and staff are welcome, and you don't have to be a professional runner to join. This spring, we will be training for Newaygo's second annual color run. Get a permission slip from Mrs. Dietz or the office. Practices will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:45 and we'll meet in Mrs. Dietz's room. Make sure you wear proper clothes and shoes. We look forward to seeing you there!

HAT DAY
Don't forget about Hat Day. The last Hat Day will be on May 10.
