Mackinac Island Trip

Annually, NMS 8th grade students take a one day trip to Mackinac Island toward the end of their 8th grade year. 

Mackinac Island 8th Grade Class Trip 2018

  • On Monday, June 4, 2018 the 8th grade class will be going to Mackinac Island for their end of year class trip.
  • ​The students will need to be at the Middle School by 5:45 a.m. in order to load the buses by 6:00 am. We will be riding in charter busses provided by Compass Coach.
  • Parents must be at the Middle school to pick up their child no later than 10:00 pm. We will arrive as close to that time as possible. Students will not be allowed to walk home unless they have a signed note from parents in advance.
  • Please provide your child with breakfast and/or snacks. The buffet lunch at the Grand Hotel is included in the trip. Your child will be responsible for buying all other food.

Important Dates to Remember

April 20 - Parent chaperone request forms were sent home.
April 23 - Trip bills were sent home with students.
April 30 - Parent chaperone request forms were due.
May 4 - Parent chaperones notified.
May 25 - Student permission slips go home.
May 31 -  Trip payments and permission slips are due to Ms. Bush.
June 4 - Mackinac Island Class Trip
